Where did I meet succces?
In music today I finally got through 'Ten Guitars' without stuffing up.
Where did I encounter difficulties?
In maths today I did the Otago Maths Challenge, in which I got 4/5. I got the first question wrong because of a silly mistake and I plan to deal with this by figuring out what I did wrong and planning how I'll approach similar questions in the future.
Most pride filled moment -
In PE today I didn't get a football in my face. Pride!

100 Word Challenge 17/5/18
The Mystery Meal
I was in a restaurant with my mother, and I’d ordered her my favourite dish. It was called ‘The Mystery Meal’, named so because the staff would never tell you what it was made of.
Suddenly the doors of the restaurant swing open, and four large delivery men pulling on a rope dragged a strange animal inside. It had the front of a unicorn (horn and all), with the iridescent back half of a fish. Mum and I stared listlessly as the struggling creature was hauled through to the kitchen, it’s emerald tail disappearing behind the door.
After finishing up our meal, Mum called for a waiter and we read the dessert menu. Taking our time deciding, we eventually agreed on Sorbet ice cream.
Later at home, I randomly found myself wondering what’s used in ‘The Mystery Meal’. Mushrooms maybe?

100 Word Challenge 9/5/18
I look to the kitten in her arms. It’s fluffy, charcoal coloured, and purring loudly.
“When did it arrive?” I ask her tentatively, wondering how close of a friendship the tiny cat had already formed with my friend.
“Oh, some time last night, I found him yowling his little head off outside the front door! Weren’t you my little fluffykins!” Refocusing on the cat, she begins tickling his chin.
My only friend so far at a new school seemed more interested in this lost mangy kitten than the new pair of socks I'd tried to talk to her about earlier.
Seemingly reading my mind, the wide yellow eyes of ‘Little Fluffykins’ meet mine in an intense glare. And so the inauguration of a long and jealousy fuelled rivalry.

100 Word Challenge 2/5/18
It's very early morning, and the air is damp and misty. I claw through the woods, panting and sore. Yesterday I had surged through the trees and countryside at breakneck speed, but over the course of the night been reduced to crawling through the filthy undergrowth, a seething mud splattered savage. At first I'd shouted for help, but no one would when they saw what was chasing me. To them I was already in my grave.
Frantically I look for somewhere to hide and rest my injured leg, which was throbbing painfully. Suddenly I hear branches snap. I've left a crimson trail of blood behind me. So I can't hide. And I can't run. And it's found me.

End of Day Reflective Question
Where did you meet success, and who might benefit most from what you've learnt along the way?
Today in Technology I successfully made a prototype dreamcatcher, and with that my group and I learnt how to find materials independently. This will probably benefit the teachers as they won't have us bugging them throughout the lesson.

100 Word Challenge 22/3/18
Fear.
I wake with a start and instinctively rub my eyes. Something is off. I'm a deep sleeper and never usually wake in the night. Surveying my room, I try find a clue as to what could have woken me. Out of the corner of my eye, I spot something pale and luminous. My muscles clench with fear, and goosebumps rush up and down my back. It's at the top of my chest of drawers. How did it get up there? What is it? All thoughts disappear instantaneously and I ogle in absolute horror as it falls onto my bed. I scream as my eyes rest apon it.
